The Chairman has just sent the following to our Members, Friends and Patrons
"It's with a heavy heart that I have to tell you we've been unable to find successors to take on Festival organisation. Consequently, unless our appeals bear unexpected fruit before this year is much older, there will be no Festival next year. Whether it will be revived thereafter is moot, so I would ask those of you who have a standing order in place to pay an annual subscription, cancel it forthwith."

We've decided to take a break this year and direct our energies to recruiting and training a new team for 2027.

Festival '25
was an artistic success but a financial disappointment due to reduced sponsorship and audience numbers lower than expected for our Finale events
Our concern is that Festival is losing its appeal to sponsors and audiences alike, which coupled with the shortage of volunteers to share the organising burden, means we are seriously questioning whether the effort involved in mounting another Festival is justified.
We're open to suggestions for keeping Festival alive, including being organised by another group.
